Flourishes Challenge # 96

Hello, the challenge is a little different today, we were asked to make a 3D christmas gift. My entry is a tea bag holder. This is the first time I've made one of these and I have to say I think it looks pretty nice. I started out with a piece of Gina K Lipstick Red cs. The inside is designer paper by K & Co. from theYuletide stack. I added ribbon from PTI, my focal image is from Flourishes christmas stamp set Christmas Classics, that I cut out with spellbinders classic circles large, and classic scalloped circles small, only because I don't have the large ones. As always my image is colored in with Copic markers, and I attached the holder with brads from my stash. I found the instructions for this on Splitcoast Stampers web site. Thanks for taking a look. Have a great day!

Magnolia-Licious Color Challenge

Todays card is for the 2nd color challenge over at the new Magnolia-Licious Challenge blog. The color challeng this time is, pink, green, and blue, and there was also a striped sneaker as an inspiration piece. I started out with my card base by Gina K, the pure white 120lb paper. My layers are also Gina K papers, grass green and innocent pink. The design papers are from K & Co. Brenda Walton Peppermint Twist stack. I used the stamp, Midsummer Tilda, that was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink,  as my focal image, and colored her with copic markers and sponged with memento cantaloupe ink. I cut her out with Spellbinders small circles and backer it with Spellbinders Lacey circles. Added Prima flowers and ribbon from Gina K, and attached a button from my stash with green hemp cord from Cousin. I laced beads from my stash through the lacey circle and added rhinestones from Queen & Co. to the bottom of the card and a bow from the same ribbon. Thanks for taking a look at my card. Have a wonderful day!

This is my card for the new challenge. Make a snowy scene or Winter Wonderland. I'm using the stamp Tilda with bell as my focal image. She is colored with copic markers, and I also used Sparkly Fluff, in Sugar, for the fur trim of her coat and hat. The design papers are from the K & Co. stack, Brenda Walton Peppermint Twist. The base paper is from Gina K, pure white 120lb, and Lipstick red for the layers. I used Spellbinders Snowflake Wonder that I ran through my Xyron and then in Martha Stewart white course crystal glitter. I assembled the flakes and held them together with brads from my stash. I attached a glittered flower with a rhinstone as a third snowflake. The three white pearls are from Martha Stewart. The ribbon is from Gina K Designs, and the attached pink flower is from Prima Flowers. The trellis behind the image, is a  punch from Martha Stewart.

StampTV Color Challenge

The color challenge is to use pink, chocolate brown, and ivory. I used Gina K Innocent pink, Choc. Brown, and Pure Ivory papers. My card base is pink and I layered ivory, choc. brown, and a pale ivory print from K & Co. paper pack Smitten. The image is from the stampTV set Hope Grows, Illistrated by Theresa Momber. I colored the flowers with copic markers and dotted the centers with Stickles Cinnamon glitter glue. I then cut the image out with my Spellbinders Nestabilities small circles in ivory and backed it with large circles in choc brown. I also used Spellbinders Fancy tags cut  in choc. brown and ivory, for my sentiment, that came from the stampTV  set Spring Florals. The clear rhinestones are from Recollections and the pink ones are from Queen & Co., and the ribbon is fron PTI. I hope you like my card , thanks for looking and have a great day!

Flourishes Winter White Challenge

Hello, today my card is for the Flourishes new December release challenge. We are to make a card that is mostly white with a pop of color. So I chose Gina K pure white 120lb. paper as my base, my layers are also the same paper. I stamped the bottom layer with memento tuxedo black ink, my stamp is from Flourishes christmas set All That Glitters. This set has a great choice of orrnaments to color, I colored mine with copic markers. I added a touch of Martha Stewart sterling glitter, and added  Recollections clear rhinestones. My sentiment is from StampTV's  Holiday Greetings set, that I cut out with a Stampin'up punch, and sponged with memento's Summer Sky ink. I used Nestabilities petite small ovals to emboss arround the image and petite lg. ovals to cut the top layer,I then used my Cuttlebug and embossed it with the snowflake folder.  My ribbon is from Offray. All in all I'm pleased with the outcome, and another christmas card is done. Have a great day and thanks for looking at my card.

Seven Kids Challenge # 9

This challenge is to make a card using  non traditional christmas colors. I think this looks very non traditional. The card base is Gina K Creme de Menthe paper that I ran thru my cuttlebug using a candy cane striped folder that came in a christmas set, I don't know the name of the folder, the  purple paper is from my stash, I don't know who makes it, the dp is Websters Pages combo pack Waiting for Santa & Sweet Season, really beautiful papers. The ribbon is from American Crafts, the rhinstones are from Queen & Co., the button is from my stash. The sentiment is from the StampTV kit  Holiday Greetings. My image is Magnolia's, Tilda with christmas stockings, that I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored in with Copic markers. Thank you for looking at my card and I hope you will leave me a comment.  Have a great day!

Saturday December 4th

I made this a 5.5 inch card. The base is Gina K Fresh Aspargus, The dp is K & Co. Yuletide and Classic K paper stacks. The flowers are from Prima, the ribbon is from Making Memories Trims 5th Avenue. I used a marvy punch, and Martha Stewart glitter in gold. The image is from Carmen Medlin for SCACD ( Susana's Custom Art and Card Design ) called 1st Signs of Fall. I found this image on a card  on a blog I follow called Scrap Bitz by Susanne J Dean. She teaches Copic classes and has many videos on Utube. She is a great teacher and that is where I learned to color with Copics. I copied the colors she used on this image and I think it looks pretty much like hers so I will not enter it in any challenges, but I just wanted to show how the card turned out. So thanks for taking a look and if you would like to leave a comment I would love it. Have a great day!

StampTV Sketch Challenge STVSKSP4

I made this card using Gina K Ocean Mist cs, the snowman, gifts, and sentiment were stamped  from the StampTV kit by Rupa Shevde called Winter Friends. The snowflakes are from the StampTV  sets, Holiday Cheer and The Magic Of Christmas. I used Memento Summer Sky ink for the snowflakes and Memento Tuxedo Black ink for the other stamped images. I used Copic Markers to color, love them, they are the best IMO. The dp is Memory Box Tinsel, the white paper is Gina K Pure 120lb cs and the silver brads are from my stash. The big challenge for me was not putting more on the card, it feels a little naked to me, but that was the challenge. Thanks for taking a look and please leave a comment. Have a great day!
