Flourishes Favorite Card Challenge

I am entering my card today in Flourishes Favorite Card Challenge. For this challenge they ask that you use your favorite stamp set to make a card. I don't have alot of Flourishes stamp sets but all of the the stamps I own are my favorites, and I chose to use the Lenten Rose set. This is so beautiful and I really like coloring it. For the card base I used GinaK 120lb pure white cs, then I layered that with PTI dark chocolate cs, topped that with one of the design papers from Memory Box's Valise paper pack. I added a looped border with my MS punch, some ribbon from my stash. The blue flower added is Prima. My focal Point is stamped on X-Press it Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored in with Copic markers. I attached that to more of the PTI dark chocolate paper and added rhinestones from Queen & co, and added my sentiment from the same stamp set. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day

I have had this stamp set for a while now and I just love it so I decided I would ink it up.The stamp set is Flourishes Sweet Pea. I started my card off with GinaK 120lb pure white cs for my base. I layered that with PTI Blueberry Sky cs that I embossed with the Cuttlebug folder, Victoria, I layered one of the design papers from the Basic Grey Kioshi paper pack on the bottom half of that. I also added some rhinestones that were in my stash. I stamped the focal image on X-press it Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with Copics markers. I backed that onto the PTI Blueberry Sky cs and I used the extra pieces of the border to add to the top and bottom of the image and popped it up on dimentials, I added a sentiment from Flourishes Spring Has Sprung stamp set, that was punched out with an oval punch, and sponged it with Memento Summer Sky ink, and attached it to the focal image. Timeless Tuesday # 132

I made this card today for my son who will be 27 on saturday, and by chance it fits the challenge for Flourishes new Timeless Tuesday Challenge, which is to make a card with a sentiment on it. How lucky is that. I started out using GinaK 120lb pure white cs for my base. I added design paper from Basic Grey's Nook and Pantry paper pad, again used GinaK's cs, this time in Chocolate Brown, and I cut out the largest of the Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Rectangles with the Grand Caliber. I stamped the sentiment from Flourishes Life Lines stamp set on xpress It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, and cut it out with Spellbinders labels 18. While it was still in the die I sponged it with Tim Holtz old paper distress ink, and pop dotted it on the card. Added some rhinestones from Kaisercraft in aquamarine, and thats my card. I thank you for stopping by and hope you have a great day.

JustRite Challenge # 056

The JustRite Challenge this time is to make a shaped holiday card or tag, no squares or rectangles. I think this is a fun challenge because I usually do make the same ordinary squares and rectangles, and its fun to go outside the box sometimes. For my project I chose to make a tag out of Spellbinders 2010 Heirloom ornament. I used the largest die on GinaK Fresh Asparagas cs, I added a piece of design paper from Basic Grey's Jovial paper pack. For my focal image I used Sparky the snowman, from the cling set of the same name from last christmas. I colored the image with Copic markers on Express it Blending Card paper, stamping the image with Memento tuxedo black ink. I used Spellbinders Large Ovals and scalloped large ovals to cut it out, and I backed it with a gold doily from Wilton, the sentiment is from the Christmas Postcard set from Flourishes, that I hand cut. I added a snowflake from Spellbinders Snowflake Wonder set to a poinsettia from Prima. Lastly I used some bakers twine in red and white from my stash. Making this tag was alot of fun for me.
